My name is Alison Nicola, but you can call me Ali.
I am a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in animation. Drawing has always been one of my passions, and I am ecstatic that I am learning how to turn my creations into moving images that can delight audiences. It is my dream to one day work on a children’s cartoon where I can use my talents to better young minds and help their imaginations to soar.
I am currently a grad student at Johns Hopkins University studying creative writing. I dream of one day publishing a young adult book series called “Chosen Elements”. Even when I was young, I was always writing or telling stories (these would normally also be accompanied by pictures). My dream to write and publish a book came about in fourth grade when my English teacher told me that I had a gift for writing creative stories. I have been writing ever since.
I spend most of my time drawing fun doodles, animating, writing, and reading; I occasionally go for a spontaneous car ride to explore the world around me.
I will always be polite and courteous to everyone I meet. I like to live by the famous saying “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Plus, I was raised to always see the best in others and to appreciate their unique talents.
I love meeting other writers and discussing stories. I feel that the one way we can truly grow and nurture our stories and abilities is through constant feedback from friends and authors and through daily writing. I am always happy to discuss a story idea.
Did I mention I love dogs? Ugly dogs do not exist for me.
